The politicians have all lied to us, if you don’t know this you have not been paying attention to world markets and our current domestic situation.
I know many are promising a return to prosperity by borrowing money on the world markets at the tune of 750 billion, 350 billion, 900 billion at a time in a desperate attempt to throw air into a sinking ship.
In the history of the world this has NEVER worked, debt has never bring lasting prosperity and very little immediate relief.
Know one is telling the truth: We spend more than we take in and have been living this way for decades…the recent credit crunch and the falling stocks, crumbling housing markets are just birth pains of what is just around the corner.
Politicans offer as a solution: More debt, more borrowing, more bail-outs.
What is the ONLY REAL solution:
Massive governmental cuts of 40% across the board, unloading of dozens of failed social programs. A 50% cut in military spending over the next 3 years. Tax cuts on Federal, State & local levels of 20% for the next 4 years. 1 in five people recieve their income from the government…we simply cannot do this any longer and exist as a nation.
We must reward hard work and penalize low performance, for the past 40 years it has been the exact oppsosite.
We of course wil never do this because we lack a national resolve to do anything that take courage and personal responsiblity.
What will you do when the walls fall?
must…I hate that…but we HAVE to or we will have nothing to defend

hold on to my guns and religion
That is a brilliant plan except the reduction in military spending. We need to keep up funds here so we do not lose ground in the war against terror.
Oh come on the great Obama has spoken we shall save the world by putting green roofs on schools. My God he is so smart I feel snug as a bug.
Your phrase "personal responsibility" says it all. I couldn’t agree more. For some reason, we have lost the true meaning of what gov’t is and what its job is. We expect the gov’t to take care of us. Instead of doing it ourselves. In my family, the work ethic was strong. And so was not having debt. If we couldn’t save for it, then we couldn’t buy it. That strongly impacted my adult life and I have done the same.
I do have a credit card but only for emergencies. Or to buy airline tickets or something online. I pay the balance immediately. Every time I have bought a house, I research the market so I buy low and sell high. I make extra payments. This gave me cash to start my first business. I’m not saying I am so superior. It really was due to how I was raised.
But, we can’t reduce military spending. That is one area we need to increase. Or else we will face the same things that happened under Carter and Clinton when they cut spending. Thousands died. But the climate is even worse today and attacks will be on our soil. We have to thwart those and that takes a huge amount of technology and intel.
I agree with your ideas, and agree it’ll never happen. So I’ll ride it out. Work hard. Save as much as I can. What else is there to do?
What will I do? Laugh my rear off at the fools who voted for him standing in the soup lines.
I believe our children will have to pay for this. Maybe it’s time to abolish government since every there just loves to spend money the U.S. doesn’t have!!!!
What I’ll be doing is I’ll be holed up with my family plenty of food, water and guns for protection
I will do as my great grandparents did during the Great Depression I will grow my own food on my farm. .A Country Boy Can Survive.
I will do better for myself.
If we all did this, we’d all do better.
Personally
Precious metals (gold, silver) never collapse and Canada might be a little cold ,, but,, if your talking dramatics to the point of anarchy or as Backpeddlin’ Barry would say "I’m your Candy Man, I’ll fix everything within a year a never torture anyone."
Get a job that is recession proof.
right on bro. only problem is you probably voted for Bush so enjoy the recession!..
wait it out like always. This always happens. it happens almost every decade. if you had looked at america’s economic history, we are always in sort of a recession. the money he is currently printing out is going to dig us deeper in the whole.
I will survive. It’s not as bad as Obama is hoping it to be. He wants to buy himself all the time he can get because he is clueless. It has always been said that if a politician has nothing to offer for solutions they sell fear.
i believe the economy in the america is going down because other countries in the world are rising up. It’s a balance shift.
I mostly diasgree the new deal of fdr helped us out of the great depression. I would agree that the we spend too much on war and if those resources are redirected to rebuild our ecoomy/infastructure we will recover more quickly
I also believe that the recessions are part of a natural cycle in this case deepened and lengthed by poor government. Hopefully the incoming government can speed up the recovery
I disagree with your proposals. I think that the cuts that you propose would only serve to worsen the economic situation.
The economy runs on the basis of consumers purchasing goods and services that our businesses provide. At this critical time, the crucial need is to stimulate the declining economy by providing to those consumers the means of purchasing the goods and services and thereby providing the demand that businesses need in order to survive. The government can also contract out work on previously neglected but needed government projects and thereby provide jobs and reasonable profits to many business enterprises. As you correctly note, this particular economic situation is unprecedented. Cutting back at this crucial time is exactly the wrong thing to do. Most economists agree.
Yes WE can has been replaced with ONLY the GOVERNMENT can
